Welcome to UniWave — a platform where students, creatives, and individuals connect, express themselves, and build community.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of UniWave, our website (https://uniw.xyz), products, features, apps, services, technologies, and software, except where we expressly state that separate terms (and not these) apply. By using UniWave, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect and use your information.

1. Who Can Use UniWave

To use UniWave, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal digital age of consent in your country).

  • Not be prohibited from receiving our services under applicable laws.

  • Not have had your account previously disabled for violations of our Terms or policies.

  • Use your real name and identity on your profile (no impersonation).

2. What You Can Share and Do on UniWave

You're free to post content — text, media, links, etc. — but:

  • You must not use UniWave to do or share anything:

    • That breaches these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

    • That is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, or fraudulent.

    • That infringes someone else’s rights (e.g., copyright, trademarks).

    • That includes malware, phishing attempts, or spam.

    • That impersonates individuals or misrepresents your identity.

  • You must not interfere with the platform's operation or access it in unauthorized ways (e.g., automated bots, scraping, reverse engineering).

3. Your Commitments to UniWave

To keep UniWave safe and inclusive, you agree:

  • To provide accurate information about yourself and keep it up to date.

  • To use the platform only for personal, non-commercial purposes unless otherwise permitted.

  • Not to misuse reporting, block, or abuse features.

  • To respect the rights of others — including privacy, data, and content ownership.

4. Permissions You Give Us

When you post content on UniWave, you retain ownership, but you grant us:

  • A non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify (e.g., resize, reformat), copy, and display your content as needed to operate and improve our services.

  • Permission to show your name, profile picture, username, and public content in context (e.g., in likes, comments, suggested follows).

  • Permission to collect and analyze engagement data to personalize your experience and improve the platform.

You can delete your content or account at any time. However, deleted content may remain in backups or caches temporarily.

5. Content Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

  • Review and remove content that violates our Terms or policies.

  • Suspend or terminate your account in cases of severe or repeated breaches.

  • Notify relevant authorities if we believe your actions are illegal or harmful.

We aim to apply enforcement consistently and fairly. You may appeal certain actions.

6. Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UniWave and its team are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

  • Loss of data, revenue, profits, or reputation due to your use of UniWave.

  • User-generated content posted by others that you may find harmful, offensive, or misleading.

UniWave is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, unless explicitly stated.

7. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.

  • Any disputes will be resolved through informal discussion first. If unresolved, they will be handled in courts located in the United Kingdom.

  • You waive any class action rights. You agree to individual dispute resolution.

8. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the law, features, or practices. When we make changes, we’ll notify you (e.g., via email or app notice) and give you a chance to review them. Continued use of UniWave after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Other Important Terms

  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will still apply.

  • Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.

  • These Terms make up the entire agreement between you and UniWave.
